1. How to update WP-Script Plugins
All WP-Script plugins are regularly updated. Issues are fixed and new features are added. There are 3 ways to update a WP-Script plugin.
From WP-Script Core plugin
This is the easiest way to proceed. WP-Script Core plugin must be installed.
- Go to the WP-Script CORE dashboard on your site.
- Click on the "Update" button under the Plugin you want to update.
- The page reloads. The plugin has been updated and reactivated automatically.
Using the WordPress plugin installer
Since WordPress 5.5, you can update a plugin just like you would install it. If the plugin already exists, WordPress will ask you if you want to replace it by the new one.
- Go to your wp-script.com account page (you must be logged in).
- Download the zip file of plugin you want on your computer.
- Go to Plugins > Add New.
- Click on Upload Plugin and Choose a file.
- Select the zip file on your computer and click on Install now.
- Click on Replace current with uploaded
Using FTP
Proceed this way only if you encounter issues to update with the two other methods.
- Go to your wp-script.com account page (you must be logged in).
- Download the zip file of the pugin you want on your computer.
- Unzip the plugin zip file.
- Launch Filezilla or any other FTP software, enter your FTP credentials and click Quickconnect.
- Go to your root directory and then to /content/wp-content/plugins/.
- Delete the directory of the plugin you want to update.
- Upload the folder containing the unzip files of the plugin to replace the old plugin.
- Go to your WordPress dashboard and reactivate the plugin if it has been disabled.
